Life Update, We Adopted A Dog!

I’m beyond excited to share the latest news in our lives. Our family has grown by four paws – we adopted a dog! Welcome, Ranger Takoda!

The decision to bring a dog into our lives has been on both of our minds for quite some time. We’d daydream about long walks in the park, cozy evenings by the fireplace, and the unconditional love a dog brings to a home. It felt like the missing piece to our puzzle, the wagging tail that would add an extra layer of warmth and joy to our daily lives. With our new home providing the space and stability we desired, it just seemed like the perfect moment to make this dream a reality.

The process of finding the perfect match felt fairly quick once we made our decision to adopt a dog. I was browsing through adorable faces on adoption websites, and then, like fate, found the furry friend we wanted to meet, and hopefully bring home. We scheduled to meet Tatum (Ranger’s prior name the rescue society gave him) that Saturday, and fell in love. We knew instantly that this adorable pup was meant to be a part of our lives. We didn’t have much available time after meeting him, and the day we were bringing him home, so immediately after leaving his foster home, we went to a few stores to buy everything that we needed. The next day we let the rescue society know we are proceeding with the adoption, and on Tuesday picked him up.

Bringing Ranger home has been wonderful. From his initial exploration of his new surroundings to settling in, every moment has been filled with love and laughter. Our routines have been reshaped – early morning walks, playtime, and cozy cuddles have become cherished rituals. The pure happiness that emanates from Ranger’s soulful eyes is contagious. He has effortlessly become the heart and soul of our home, bringing an unparalleled sense of joy and companionship.

As we navigate this new chapter of life with our four-legged family member, we look forward to the countless adventures, the shared laughter, and the unwavering loyalty that a dog brings into a home. Our hearts are full, and I can’t wait to share more tales of our newfound joy with all of you.

Thanks for reading! Until next time,
Tracey
