In the spirit of trying to romanticize my life more, but also keep things real by sharing the misadventures – I have decided to start a “A Day in My Life | In Pictures” series.
As I embark on this creative endeavour, I yearn to elevate the ordinary moments of my life into a tapestry of enchanting memories. This series serves as a window into the genuine, unfiltered experiences that shape my world, inviting you to join me on this visual voyage through the pages of my existence. Each image captures a fragment of time, a snapshot of the beauty I find in the mundane, and the magic that can be unearthed in the everyday. It also offers a glimpse of the mishaps and misadventures that occasionally sprinkle humour and humility into my daily narrative. These hiccups remind us that life’s charm often resides in its imperfections, and I’m stoked to share them all with you in this series.
The frequency of this series will be spontaneous and random, mirroring the unpredictable rhythm of life itself, rather than adhering to a strict schedule.
So without further ado, my first “A Day in my Life” post!
I decided to kick off this series with our moving day because this has been a day that I have been eagerly anticipating for quite some time, and today, it FINALLY became a reality!
I intended to follow a “shot list” that I created for a few specific photos that I wanted to capture today, but taking photos was the last thing I thought about. I wasn’t even going to post this because I don’t think that these photos are great, but I will accept the imperfection as I still want to remember this day. C’est la vie.
6:41 AM
We decided to make a trip from the condo to the house first thing in the morning to haul some random stuff. Stopping at Starbucks was a definite must, and that coffee hit SO good!

7:09 AM
Back to the condo to see the sun rise. It is WAY too early for life right now.

7:48 AM
Everything packed up and ready to go! Getting antsy to get the big move started!

8:41 AM
The moving truck has arrived! This is the exact moment it hit me that we are moving!

9:22 AM
Enjoying that we hired movers! I don’t have to do a thing. This is great! Highly recommend doing the same.

10:33 AM
An empty condo! See you never tiny shoebox.

10:54
One of the last walks down the long hallway. Can’t wait to be out of here!

12:31 PM
Unloading the truck at OUR house! So much excitement! I can’t wait to start unpacking.

12:48 PM
All my plant babies around the fireplace. Really had no where to put them in the meantime. Don’t worry, the fireplace was off until they were moved. I don’t want to scorch them!

1:08 PM
Josh supervising the move.

1:11 PM
Our first selfie (and honestly probably the last – I hate selfies!) in front of OUR house! Gosh, that feels so good to say “OUR house!”

1:31 PM
The red carpet treatment. Haha!

1:34 PM
Just about all moved in! If you are ever in need of a moving truck, I would definitely recommend Eager Beaver. They arrived early, took great care of our belongings, were efficient and speedy.

2:17 PM
What a gorgeous day for a mid-November move! I am sure this is almost unheard of here. When we put on offer in and closing day was in a couple weeks, I thought we were going to have a cold, snowy move.

6:17 PM
The only thing we want right now is to be sleeping on a comfy bed. We were up late last night, and woke up very early this morning and are both so very exhausted. I also hope we never have to re-build this bed ever again!

8:17 PM
We are absolutely starving! Tacos for dinner because we are SO STOKED to be back in the delivery zone of our favourite Mexican restaurant!

Thanks for reading! Until next time,
Tracey
