Exciting Changes! Basecamp Diaries is Now Home & Habitat Journal

When I first created Basecamp Diaries, it was meant to complement my adventure and photography blog – a space to share home and DIY projects (with an outdoor adventure-inspired theme) for the times I was not out exploring.

But as life evolved, so did my passions. We’ve been spending more time at home, and in that time I have discovered a deep love for rewilding my yard, creating a thriving wildlife habitat, building a pond, planting native species, and welcoming birds and other wildlife into our space.

With this exciting shift, the name Basecamp Diaries no longer fit the heart of this journey. I wanted something that truly reflected both the cozy home that I am creating, and the wild, living landscape just outside my door. And so, I am thrilled to introduce Home & Habitat Journal!

This name captures what this space has become – where cozy living meets wild spaces, where home and habitat grow together.

While the name is new, everything else remains unchanged. You will still find:

  • Backyard birding & wildlife habitat updates
  • Gardening & rewilding projects
  • Home & DIY projects
  • Thrifted finds & curated cozy spaces
  • And musings on life woven throughout

This space will continue to be a blend of all the things that bring me joy, and I’m beyond excited to keep sharing this journey with you.

Thank you for being here – this is just the beginning!

If this post sparked an idea, made you pause, or nudged you to notice the life in your own space, share it. Every share spreads the invitation: to garden with purpose, to rewild a yard, to create a place wildlife trusts – and helps this little patch of land inspire more backyard birders, native plant gardeners, and nature-lovers.

Thanks for reading! Until next time,
Tracey
